#IBCOMFEDGPPE Day Eight: Inspired by Charm

Can you believe it!? This is it. The last day of the Party! Time flew by so quickly.

I checked out the Trollbead site and found two beads that I thought were pretty cool. Now they just need to develop the male equivalent to a charm bracelet. Right!?

So many options! I was at the jewelry store the other day and one woman had two of these bracelets on each arm! I can see why. So many cute charms and beads and hundreds of ways to put them together.

#IBCOMFEDGPPE Day Six: Gallery Ali

Happy Saturday everyone! It's a beautiful day for a party. I sincerely hope that the weather is as nice where you are as it is here! We are currently approaching 80 and there isn't a cloud in sight. A beautiful weekend indeed. 


Since all good parties require good decorations, I've invited an amazingly talented painter to this extravaganza.  She has created an original piece of artwork to giveaway today! How awesome is that!?




Today's giveaway comes from the creative mind of Gallery Ali


Ali of Gallery Ali is giving away this original painting,
 appropriately titled 'Spring Charm'! 


I am totally in love with this. Unique, colorful, fun ... just beautiful!

About the painting: Spring Charm" is a 8" x 24" x 1.5" painting on gallery wrapped canvas; the painting extends around the thick edges giving it a striking look from a side angle and making framing unnecessary. "Spring Charm" is wired and ready to hang on your wall or prop on a shelf.

And, as these giveaways go, I asked Ali to share a little about herself and her work...
I delight in vivid color, movement and the element of surprise; often combining multiple mediums such as copper wire, sand, sheer fabrics & textural yarns to create sculptural dimension, extending the art off the canvas
I love selling my work at art fairs; the open-air market is exciting, and even better is the opportunity to meet a variety of people from all over with different interests and backgrounds. 
The element of surprise is the part of my work that intrigues people the most; It makes me smile when people of all ages can't help but touch the paintings to try and figure out the unexpected materials, often turning an ordinary household item, like a mesh fruit bag, or a scrubby sponge, into a fun painting! 
I live in Andover, Minnesota and have a studio in the wonderful International Market Square in Minneapolis.

Let's take a look at two more of her paintings. 

I love how this piece has sheer fabric and copper wire that extend out a few inches off the front of the canvas. So unique! And the colors are beautiful together.


O'Hara

This painting is named after Scaralet O'Hara from Gone With the Wind. I just love the colors in this. I actually want to do one of my bedrooms here at my little inn in pinks and organs and this would actually be perfect!
